Analysis of the reasons why electric heating tubes burst when used by customers
2024-05-28 16:23The burst of the electric heating tube refers to the rupture of the metal outer wall of the electric heating
tube after power is turned on. This kind of damage is irreversible and needs to be avoided at all costs.
After long-term investigation and data collection, we try to analyze the reasons for the pipe explosion:
1. Design issues. The power design of the electric heating tube is too high, and the internal heating rate
is fast and the temperature is high, causing the internal expansion of the electric heating tube. The
surface load of the metal outer tube is too large, eventually causing the tube to expand and crack.
2. Material problem-the metal tube itself. The pipe material is defective, the pipe wall is too thin, and
the material itself has insufficient temperature resistance, etc., all of which will cause the pipe's pressure
resistance to be insufficient.
3. Material problem - magnesium oxide powder. As a thermal conductive and insulating material,
magnesium oxide powder is distributed between the heating wire and the heating tube wall. It is
one of the most important materials for electric heating tubes. The magnesium oxide powder itself is
not pure enough, has too many impurities, is affected by moisture, etc., and can easily cause heat
accumulation. If the conduction cannot go out at a certain location in the pipe, when it reaches a
certain limit, it will cause a pipe burst.
4. Process problems-poor sealing. The sealing area of the heating tube was not properly sealed,
causing moisture inside. When high voltage and large current passed through, it caused short circuit
breakdown and led to tube explosion.
5. Process issues - pipe diameter processing issues. This only applies to the heating tube for mold
heating. When the gap between the heating tube and the mold hole is too large, the heat of the
heating tube cannot be conducted to the mold, which is equivalent to continuous dry burning,
which is very dangerous.
6. Usage problems - the pipe wall is damaged by knocks, improper storage, the operating voltage
is much higher than the rated voltage, and wiring errors are also common reasons.
7. Usage problem - too many impurities in the liquid. This only applies to liquid-heated heating tubes.
When there are too many impurities in the liquid, the impurities will adhere to the surface of the
heating tube (such as scale), causing local heat in the tube to be unable to conduct, causing the tube
to burst.
So, how to prevent the electric heating tube from bursting?
1. Product design problems, material problems, and process problems cannot be solved by users, but
users can choose qualified and experienced electric heating tube manufacturers and leave these
problems to a professional team to solve these "invisible" problems. question.
2. Use it strictly in accordance with the rated voltage and correct wiring method. Store it in a dry place.
Electric heating tubes that have not been used for a long time need to be started at a low voltage and
gradually increase the voltage.
3. Heating tubes used for liquid heating need to improve the water quality, reduce impurities, or clean
the surface of the heating tube regularly.
4. Heating tubes are consumable products. Users must regularly organize and check for hidden
dangers, and perform regular maintenance and replacement of core heating tube components.
